Today's technology can be very overwhelming and time consuming to learn and to figure out and at times down right frustrating. For the past three years it has been my honor to assist staff and teachers in an Ohio K-12 school district to use technology in an educational environment. I enjoy helping others as well as learning about computing technologies.

Position included supervision and direction of K-12 School District Technology department having two Application Specialists and two Technology Assistants. Worked with teachers and staff to improve the standard of technology within the district which is composed of up to five elementary schools, one middle school and one high school having approximately 2400 students, 300 staff, and 500 computers in a heterogeneous computing environment. Duties included installation, setup and maintenance of several Windows servers and one Mac server, Exchange 2003 mail server licensed for 500 e-mail accounts. Maintenance of user and computer accounts using Active Directory and group Policies. Significant Accomplishments: · Assembled and organized a team to implement plan for wide spread computer virus removal then implemented enterprise anti-virus solution. · Setup Windows Server Update Services to improve reliability and security of Windows client systems and make efficient use of T1 lines used for Internet connectivity. · Setup Enterprise antivirus solution to protect the computing environment and also to make efficient use of T1 lines used for Internet connectivity. · Implemented deployment of printers and software using Active Directory and Group Policies. · Upgraded Wireless network at two grade schools |
